Who are Fen Mobility Centre?

We are based in Ely, Cambridgeshire with 30 years of experience in mobility and independent living.

​

Our owner Sara has spent over 17 years as an occupational therapist working in the NHS. She is accompanied by Sonia, Kevin and the team and are here to help you find the right solution and support you to ensure that you get the best possible outcome.

Can I come to see you?

YES. We would love to welcome you at our showroom and assessment centre. Feel free to browse, have a chat and a cup of tea, try out some products and even take one of our scooters or wheelchairs out for a test drive.

Is your showroom accessible?

YES. The showroom is fully accessible, we have plenty of parking, we have an accessible toilet. We also have tea, coffee and normally a well stocked biscuit tin.

Will you arrange my VAT free purchase?

YES. Don’t worry, we can arrange this and check eligibility. It only takes a few minutes and we handle everything.

Can I take scooters, wheelchairs, riser recliner chairs and equipment away on the same day?

YES. We have lots of stock available to take away on the same day. If it is a large item then we can deliver it locally normally on the next day.

What areas do you serve?

We support individual customers and businesses accross the UK inlcuding the NHS as far a Birmingham.  But more locally, we mostly see customers from Ely, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Wisbech, March, Chatteris, King's Lynn, Huntingdon, St Ives and beyond.

Can I hire equipment, wheelchairs, scooters?

YES. We have a quick, easy hire service at reasonable prices. We do ask for a small returnable deposit.

Does my scooter need to be registered with the DVLA?

Maybe. Depending on the speed, the scooter may need to be registered. But don’t worry, we will take care of that with you in the showroom. We will have it done in a few minutes before you leave.

What if something breaks?

From time to time, things can go wrong such as a puncture on a tyre. We can repair in our workshop or at your home. Just give us a call and we will take care of the rest.

Do you offer part exchange?

YES. We understand that needs change over time and we will happily assess your current scooter, wheelchair or riser recliner chair with a view to part exchange.

Do you sell pre loved items?

YES. We have a great selection of pre-loved wheelchairs, scooters & riser recliner chairs .

​

Do I need insurance for my scooter or wheelchair?

It is not a legal requirement to have insurance. However, we do recommend it and can organise it for you.
